Recharges and resumes on its own
When cleaning is done or the battery runs low, the robot returns to the charging dock by itself, ready for the next run.
How do I set up the robot?
Answer: Setup is simple. Just unbox, plug in the charger and download the Roomba® Home app. A 2.4 GHz network on your robot and phone is required for setup and operation; after setup, your phone can return to 5 GHz. Follow the prompts and in a few minutes your robot is ready.
Does the robot vacuum and mop?
Answer: Yes, and the choice is yours. Your robot has 3 cleaning modes: vacuum only, mop only, or combination vacuum and mop. In vacuum-and-mop or mop-only mode the robot automatically avoids carpets, so there’s no need to stress.
How well does it vacuum?
Answer: A great vacuum is more than just power, though this one is equipped with 15,000 Pa of suction. A flexible bristle brush and edge-extending corner brush extract dust and debris along walls and in hard-to-reach corners, from hard floors to fluffy carpets.
How does the mopping function work?
Answer: It’s just 3 easy steps to mop: fill the robot’s bin tank with water or a compatible cleaning solution, slide the bin back into the robot and add the mopping pad. Microfibre mop pads can be used up to 30 times, and the robot detects and avoids mopping on carpets.
How does home mapping work?
Answer: ClearView™ LiDAR scans your space to create up to 3 maps, even on different levels of your home, that you can customise in the Roomba® Home app. Mapping takes less than 10 minutes (based on a 93 m² space), and then your robot is ready to clean.
What kind of maintenance is required?
Answer: To keep your robot operating smoothly, wash the mop pad and wipe out the bin as needed, and replace filters and brushes every 3–6 months to maintain powerful cleaning day after day.
Will my privacy be protected?
Answer: Yes. iRobot uses encryption to store and strictly limit access to data and is verified by third-party security organisations. Security measures include automatic software updates and the ability to delete your data if you pass your robot on to a new owner.
